1. Scope
This policy describes the personal information WonderSnow Battleground collects through this website, what we do with it and how we keep it safe. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, the provincial laws recognized as substantially similar: Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as updated by Law 25), and the Personal Information Protection Acts of Alberta and British Columbia.
2. Information we collect
| What | When it’s collected | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you sign up or sign in through the User Area | Sending your magic link, opening your account and holding your Welcome Offer |
| Name, email and message | When you send the contact form | Answering your message |
| Your cookie choice | When you respond to the cookie bar | Remembering that choice |
| Usage and device information | Only after you select “Accept all” on the cookie bar | Measuring visits and advertising results (see the Cookie Policy) |
We never ask for payment information, a phone number, a home address or any government identification.
3. Your consent
We rely on your consent. Creating an account means agreeing to the account emails the service needs: magic links and notices about your Welcome Offer and the launch. Analytics and advertising cookies stay switched off unless you choose “Accept all”. In line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), promotional emails are sent only if you opt in to them separately, and each one carries a working unsubscribe link. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Use and disclosure
- Your information is used only for the purposes listed above. We do not sell it.
- Companies that host the website, deliver email or provide analytics handle information for us, under contracts that require them to protect it to a comparable standard.
- Some of those companies may store data outside Canada, such as in the United States. Data stored there is subject to that country’s laws and may be accessible to its authorities.
5. How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account is open and is deleted or anonymized within 90 days after it closes. Contact form messages are deleted after at most 24 months.
6. Security
Safeguards match the sensitivity of the information: encrypted connections, sign-in links that work only once, and limited staff access. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you;
- fix anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- stop using your information, or delete your account and the information linked to it;
- where Quebec law applies, send you your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Send your request through the contact form and we will answer within 30 days. If our answer doesn’t resolve your concern, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, where applicable, the privacy commissioner of your province.
8. Children’s privacy
This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If a parent or guardian thinks a child has created an account, they can ask us to remove it.
9. Updates to this policy
Changes are posted on this page with a new date. Account holders are told by email about material changes.
10. Reaching us
Questions or requests about your privacy can be sent to our privacy contact through the contact form.
